Hi all - I am new to this as my cat, Katie, was just diagnosed with diabetes. I transitioned her to Weruva wet food and it was an utter disaster. She threw up and had terrible diarrhea. I am now feeding her some rice with ground chicken and a bit of DM. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There are tons of other brands you could try. tiki, ziwipack and even regular fancy feast. I don’t think the rice is good for diabetics cats since it’s mainly carbs. What else have you tried? What weruva flavors did you give her?

Here is the food list if you want to try another wet food we like to give 6% carbs and under . I feed Fancy feast Classic Pate . I feed 2 and 3% carbs Tap in the blue link

We also have a spreadsheet where we track our cats/BG to see how the insulin is working and how low they are dropping

- Caregiver & kitty's name
- DX: Date
- Name of Insulin (do not include dose or frequency)
- Name of your meter
- Diet: "LC wet" or "dry food" or "combo"
- Dosing: TR or SLGS or Custom (if applicable)
- DKA or other recent health issue (if applicable)
- Acro, IAA, or Cushings (if applicable)
- Spreadsheet link. Please put the signature link on the bottom line of your signature information, on its own, so it is easy to find.

I gave her chicken and turkey and she threw it all up. She seems to be doing better on DM right now. Not sure what the issue was with Weruva.
