You've had a lot on your plate. How is Eddie overall the 5 Ps?

How is Blue doing?

Hugs and love and healing coming your way:bighug::bighug::bighug: <3 <3

Hi Rainbow, thanks for dropping by. It's been a bit of a rough week, although Eddie is doing pretty well on the 5Ps, tbh. It's just been the combination of concern for high numbers (and he gets grumpy) and the necessity of a dose increase along with worry over Blue.

I can always tell when Eddie is high; his eyes are strangely yellow/green and not calm looking at all, which is what they are when he's cruising the blues. I guess if I'm honest, I'm really worried the acromegaly is messing with him again. I have no actual proof of that but these high numbers suggest that. The radiation oncologist had emailed me to check up following the situation in March when he ended up at emergency after not breathing during a CT scan. She is recommending an MRI and if there are findings the possibility of another SRT.

With Blue, I've got him on a renal diet. I've also managed to get all his prescriptions compounded to liquid form as his dentals are bad. He had radiographs the other day and I'm just waiting to hear about the possibility of him getting an appointment with a dental specialist about 4.5 hours away from here. I've also determined that if he needs a phosphorous binder, I can get that compounded too into a colourless, tasteless, odourless additive to his food. My short term goal is to get his phosphorous levels down. He has an appointment in a couple weeks for another blood panel and I'm going to ask for a urinalysis since they do one, which is kind of weird I guess given the concern is kidneys. Lastly, I've done some digging and found there is the possibility of stem cell treatment, which has been found to be effective in regenerating even the kidneys. I found a clinic relatively close to home (same as dentist) and will be speaking with the vet after the 25th of July. Blue is good for the 5Ps, better than Eddie even, because he's very friendly and communicative. So, we'll see...

That's the short version. But, really, thanks so much for checking in...

Poor eddie. I know when LM has been higher he is always more sluggish and just not himself. I totally understand your concern you're doing so well! Such a good mama :bighug:

I'm glad Blue is doing well even with all things considered. It's so hard for me to have one cat with issues...I cannot even imagine how hard this is for you.

Stay strong and remember to take care of yourself too:cat::cat:
