Ahhhh:arghh: she hasn't thrown a pink in 10 days! what happened? Did I perhaps miss a double dip? Or maybe a lime? last night. Those are usually when she bounces to pink.
Still going to get a +1.5 and +2.5 ish ...not expecting green but maybe to prevent steep drop.
Just received an email from Chewy and they are out of stock of all her Ziwi pates:banghead:. So basically we're out of food soon:blackeye:.
Going to go out and pick up some Weruva then label each flavored can with carb %. Silver lining to her giving a pink number and having to buy different foods is that I get to organize the Cleo closet by food, carb and kcal. My OCD, Type-A personality is happy about this lol!

I'm not sure if chewy carries kiwi kitchen or not but they basically seem like a (slightly cheaper) spin off of ziwi peak. Most of the same single source low carb proteins and from newZealand. They even include the same green muscles in the ingredients list. I got mine at my local mud bay.

Edit: and Henry loves them, but he's been trying to steal the dogs kibble lately too soooo....

My Cleo is carb sensitive. I'll start on :bookworm: carb research for this brand right away. Hope Henry is doing better today and hope you and your wife get some rest!
 
Such lovely greens last night and yes, I wonder why that pink this morning? Suspicious. Sorry about that. Hope you get that food closet organized :-) It is a worry about so many foods being out of stock. I worry anyway. What will I do if I can't feed my babies (there are an awful lot of them to feed)?

I don't want to pry but have been wondering (and praying for good results) about those path results.
How do you manage with the supply shortage and feeding all those kitties!?
I haven't had an issue with Ziwipeak from Chewy until June 2022. Before that the auto ship was working wonderfully.
Organizing is my stress release. When Cleo was at the ER Vet in Feb for 2.5 days I organized my husband's pants. First by size, then by cut/style, then by color. If that wasn't enough, I then labeled the hangers with the sizes for ease of reference!
I can't do anything more than I have about her high BG :( it will come down when it comes down. But I can worry about it less if I keep myself busy...

You are so funny! I bet there are a lot of people on this Board who would like you to come over to be OCD at their house! I finally did get pathology results back! I am happy to report that it's all just benign stuff. Poor Esther has cost me about a thousand dollars so far this year (and she's a young cat, usually it's the old ones who get expensive.) First we did this hormonal testing that took three weeks just to collect the various blood draws that all had to be sent in together. Then the biopsy/"tumor" removal and pathology. Anyway, when your cat starts getting all these lumps on its mammary glands, you can just ignore it (I can't anyway.) They wanted to do exploratory surgery on her because they thought it was an ovarian remnant left over from her spay surgery when she was a kitten. This never made sense to me because if she'd had a piece of ovary left behind she surely would have had something going on prior to the age of 4. She also never went into heat. So I asked if there was a test to see if she could have a remnant that we could do prior to doing exploratory surgery. That was the hormonal testing. It was negative so we did the biopsies. I'm very relieved that it's just benign cysts; the pathologist called it mammary gland duct ectasia. From what I have read they can actually just disappear on their own (paws crossed for that.) Two of the large ones were removed anyway. Poor Esther. Everything seems to happen to her. She has a pretty badly broken arm from when she was hit by a car (vet thinks) when she was living outside (before we rescued her and her sisters.) She disappeared and by the time she returned and we could get our hands on her, the arm had already healed -- in the wrong position. So she walks with a bit of a limp but, other than that, the arm doesn't seem to bother her and she jumps and hauls herself up on her scratching post using that arm. She's a happy cat. She was supposed to go to the Atlanta Humane Society (in fact, we took her there) for adoption. They wanted to amputate her arm. I found this out before it was too late and said no way... they let us bring her (and her two sisters) home. They were all very bonded. They'd separated Esther from her two sisters (Delilah and Ruth) and she was just a lump of fear who literally never came out of a little bag for the entire time she was at the humane society. We have to bring one of her sisters with her when she goes to the vet because it calms her. Anyway, all's well that ends well in this case.... and especially now that the biopsy results are back and all good. Thanks for asking. More than you ever wanted to know!

I ❤️ reading this. You made my day! I'm so happy when it's nothing to worry about after being worried about it and not being able to do anything but just wait.
You and your fam are amazing...helping kitties and us (sometimes neurotic and psychotic) CGs. :bighug:

Nothing wrong with having a MOTIVATIONAL "disorder". And CDO is correct!;)
Do you keep a handy reference guide for the color-coded hangers, perhaps taped on the interior side of the closet door :p
