06/29 Misty PMPS 241 +3 158 AMPS 56 shoot??

With TR you can shoot if over 50. Sorry nobody was around. I would shoot if you can monitor and have supplies.

I think she probably bounced from the 2.1 a couple of days ago and is now coming off the bounce. She is obviously needing less insulin.
****If you have decided to swap to SLGS you have earned a reduction down to 2.75 U
I know Misty is hard to test but make sure you get a +2 if you can and then another one a bit later.

Thanks Bron. I read up on the SLGS, but I’m a bit bamboozled as to the difference for me except for the no shot numbers and when you earn a reduction or need to increase. I can’t do a curve. She’s been a bit better with testing this week. Maybe she was dreadful because the kids and I were having a particularly hectic and stressful time and maybe her numbers went crazy too because she recovered from the uti and I had to slowly change her shot time from 8pm to 6pm and back again and she did not like all that. I can’t think what to do.

I would really recommend you swap to SLGS. The main differences are the higher reduction BG of 90 ( 5) and when you reduce the dose. And the number of tests needed. If you can continue testing as you are we may not need a curve.
You can always swap back to TR if it doesn’t work out but I think with your very busy schedule and the fact you can’t get as many tests in as needed to do TR safely, I would try SLGS.
Have you been able to get another test in since giving insulin?

Sorry I didn’t see your message from this morning. I did get more tests in. She was 9.7 at +2 and 13.1 at +5.5. I probably should have given the whole dose. I will tonight. I will have to write down all the SLGS numbers somewhere. Thanks for your help.

Looks like she is bouncing from the low preshot this morning.
It is fine you gave the 2 units……better to be safe.
Don’t forget you are reducing to 2.75 units tonight….even if the preshot is high take the reduction.
