I started a new vial today. I hope she will go back to green, it's addicting, I don't like a blue day anymore!
She looks like her leg bothers her again, I guess it's because she's been jumping and running too much. I increased the Gabapentin a little this morning. I will contact the vet but I don't want to go back yet, it was too much stress last time. They see my Bella as a violent cat for some reason. During the worst of COVID, I had to leave her, she had a kind of warty thing on her back. They did not want anybody inside so a guy came to get her from the parking lot, took her inside, and then brought her back when I went to pick her up. I don't know what happened but since that, she hates that place, and they have a note in her chart that says that she hisses and bites. She used to be so mellow there that they all came to see her every time we went. That makes me sad! Especially since we had people caring for her when we are away every summer, and all of them commented on how easy she was, so I know she is even when I'm not there.

love your posts. Gave me a chuckle about her sign at the veterinarian “hisses and bites”. Remember cats choose their people, good and bad. Maybe she has a tiny bit of “calico” somewhere in her DNA. ALL VETERINARIANS except one [who moved to Florida earlier this year] HATE Cali. They won’t even touch her unless I sedate before coming, the they fully sedate even to examine. I hate that, but this was her attitude at 3 months when taken in for spay. Techs couldn’t examine. So Bella is a babe!

I had a calico, her name was Morphine (I had her in my 2nd year of med school. Weird choice of name, right?). She was impossible to manage. I could take her and put her in a carrier, but nobody else ever managed it without sedation, or very heavy towels (my mom). The vet laughed at my mum when she told him she had to cancel an appointment because she could not catch the cat, who weighed maybe 5 pounds as an adult, she was a tiny little devil. Then he understood when he saw her :nailbiting:

I guess Calicos get their reputation honestly! There have been reports of sweet calicos, I think Elise mentioned she had one. But generally they live u-p to the stereotype. We love Cali dearly and vice versa, but she is quick to remind us who is boss, almost every time her BG is tested. Then she immediately licks and purrs as if to excuse her bites and claws.

We're at 7 days mostly in green except for yesterday, so I think I'll wait one or two days more to be sure she stays there?
