Good morning
Nope. Didn’t feed him anything after nadir. It was a big drop this morning in just half an hour, so we fed 7.7. Seriously slowed it down, though, apparently. What a sensitive little guy he is. Carb sensitive, that is.Why so high and pink this morning, Merlin? Surely he isn’t bouncing from the slow descent into blue last night? Did y’all feed him anything after nadir? At least he’s dropping some now. Keep up the good work, Jill.
You shouldn’t keep it in the fridge for human use, because people use much higher doses and Lantus at higher doses stings if it is cold (at least that is what i remember).Im starting to suspect the insulin. I just read the info that came with it and it says “the pen in use must not be stored in the refrigerator.” We have been keeping it in there with the others. Is this wrong? It also says that it should only be used for four weeks, but I assume that means if you dont keep it in the fridge. Any advice? I have read the stickies in the Lantus forum. It is unclear still how long a pen should last after it’s been used, if kept in the fridge exclusively.
Thank you, Marina. Whew. You shouldn’t keep it in the fridge for human use, because people use much higher doses and Lantus at higher doses stings if it is cold (at least that is what i remember).
You shouldn’t use it longer than 28 days if not refrigerated. Most people here use the ampule/ pen until last drop - we did with 2 ampules already and it did it’s job all the way thru. We should stop using it if there is white sediment at the bottom (never happened to us).
Hope this helps![]()
