Thanks, Bron. We will see what one drop does. Looks to be a pretty small amount from our practice drawing, barely anything.
 
Waiting on the scheduled +1. That was a really big bump. I dont know if one drop can handle it. If not, I guess we give very lc soon
 
So if you try what Wendy suggested and see how many drops are in the .1 that you had been giving to Merlin - it would be interesting to see how many there were as a point of comparison with the one drop dose. So the difference between one drop and what he was getting before could be more than we think. Anyway, we won’t know much until he stops bouncing. Merlin usually never takes long to clear a bounce though. He’s a fast cat!
 
Im hoping to get some advice, because what I know about feeding the curve is based on a higher dose. I thought i was getting pretty good at that. Now do I need to scale it down?
 
I would feed him the 3.7% again, he's doing fine Jill and then check again in 30 if you want.
With him being on such a small dose any higher carb could wipe out his insulin and could reduce the duration a lot.

That's what i would do as it's the last AM+3 reading or you could enter them both and explain in your notes the reason why.
 
Okay. That's definitely possible. Take 20% of 294 and you get 58.8 so with a meter variance of +/1 20 percent. 294 - 58.8 = 235 So it's all within that dratted meter variance.
 
I guess I can sign off of here for now and retire to the spreadsheet reporting. So tired. Ill test at +5 but then not every hour. Will feed some LC at +6 or +7. Thanks, guys. Shooting drop dose at 9 tonight. One last question, should I be feeding a lower carb supper, as he will be super high and probably not go very low? Maybe a 6ish?
 
If he’s high I would go with lower carb. 5.9 or 3.whatever…. Probably the lower the better, but I know it’s a drastic change for you so…
 
Hello everyone who has been keeping an eye on Merlin’s progress. I have a question for you all: How exactly do you give a drop dose and not have it get sucked back up into the syringe after thinking you got it into the cat? We pushed the plunger hard all the way in while it was in Merlin, but when we took it out and pushed the plunger hard again, a small bit came out. Im not sure if that was the entire dose or not, but he is running very high for this time in the cycle. Any advice about drop dosing would be so welcome.
