Carlton has been vomiting off and on for a little over a week. It's so inconsistent. Yesterday nothing, but this morning he did. I do the AMPS then feed him and give his lantus. Sometime later he vomits some of his breakfast..decides to eat some of it...grossssss and continues to finish his breakfast. The food was not even digested, however there have been a few times where it was just clear vomit at some point during the day. Does this mess up his numbers throughout the day?

The clear vomit could be because his tummy is empty. Are you giving snacks during the day and evening as well as the preshot meals?
If he vomits all his food and has no replacement meal, it could effect the numbers, so just give him more if he will eat it and monitor the BG.

Yes @tiffmaxee
right now he is 191 which is lower than usual and he always gets super low at night. I have a feeling its going to drop lower than usual giving the preshot number

That’s a safe number to shoot provided he will eat and you have supplies. We usually say 200 is the cutoff for new to insulin. He’s close enough to shoot. We gradually lower that number. If a lot lower than usual you can shoot a token dose or skip.
When you get a lower than usual preshot bg, stall, don’t feed and test again in 20-30 minutes to see if the bg is on the way up. If it is you can shoot and if not sure ask for dosing advice. Does that help?

When the food comes back up fairly soon after eating and still looks pretty much like it did when it went in, it's probably a "scarf and barf".

Spreading the food out onto a flat plate or putting something inedible (and big enough not to worry about him eating it) into a bowl will help slow him down. I often suggest a golf ball.
