05/27 Merlin PMPS 24.4(439), 21.7(391)@+1,17.0(306)@+2,17.9(322)@+3

A bounce can last from 1 to 6 cycles and during that time the BG can wobble up and down a bit. Every cat is different (ECID) so we can’t say how long the bounce will last. With more data you will get to know his bounces. Some cats bounce a lot and some don’t bounce much at all and others don’t bounce.
When he starts to drop a lot lower you will know the bounce is over.
So I should really be testing him a lot over the next few days, because couldn’t he hypo if the bounce ends and the insulin is working?

I would scan at regular intervals to try to catch the time when he breaks the bounce. With the Libre you can do that easily. When he starts to come down you can start more monitoring and be ready to intervene if necessary.

How will I manage these next few days? I don’t know if we should go out for a few hours or not. Will we need to keep doing this, Suzanne and Bron, where you are here with us? What happens next?

Then you really won't have to worry and you know it's not really going to impact his numbers negatively because he's already high due to the bounce.

What if it happens when we are sleeping? Should I check on him through the night?

So tomorrow should we shoot very slightly more, as Ivy thinks she has been too close to the zero line? Or should she keep aiming where she has been aiming so as not to change anything?

You need to stay with the same dose of 0.25 units. If you are unsure if you are drawing it up correctly, I would take a photo of the dose in the syringe and post it. To do that you will need to copy and paste the photo into the thread.
Do you have the 1/2 unit syringes?

Ok. We will do that. We have been looking at a picture on the fine dosing sticky tonight. We may have been slightly closer to zero than we should have been. So if we correct that, do you think he might drop more? Should we correct it, or stick with exactly where we have been lining it up?

Ok. We are going to feed Merlin and go to bed now. Thank you! I don’t know how things will go tomorrow…I guess I will just plan on starting a new page and doing readings every hour as usual? Will someone be around, or will I just need to ask you if I need help? I wont know when to feed and stuff, or is all of that on hold til the bouncing stops? I’m confused. Sorry.

I would try and get the 0.25 unit dose. Otherwise if we need to increase the dose further down the track, do we increase to the 0.25 or the 0.5 unit mark?.
We won’t know if it makes a difference until it does, as we don’t know what you have been shooting the last couple of cycles……hopefully it has been the 0.25 units.

I will check in. And Bron should be here tomorrow too.
