4.6 on contour
Good.4.6 on contour
Steady and not dropping, and on the surfboard.+5 is 4.7 on the contour. 3.9 on Libre
Perfect!Yes, but converting each number into the US slots is too much right now. As soon as there’s more than one number in an hour, the US wont convert. I can do the world for now.
Yes that’s a good idea. Just put a * in the SS where you did a human reading and then put the human BG into the remarks column. Also, we were going to do all Libre readings for the day, but we’ve switched now. Should I keep to libre in the time slots, but note the contour readings in the notes?
It will convert normally Suzanne but if you put in more than 1 reading in the cell then it won't convert and you have to enter it manually.Jill should not have to convert the numbers on her spreadsheet, should she? I mean, I thought that happened automatically? I thought that non-US people just enter their numbers in on the World tab and that the US tab automatically converted and entered them for the user? Is this not how Jill’s ss is set up?
Lol, just replied.@Teetee (UK) how does it work for your spreadsheet? You don’t manually enter US numbers, do you?
It converts automatically if you only put one BG into it and nothing else. Once you put in more than that you have to go over to the US Ss and put it all in manually. I always found it a real pain to have to doJill should not have to convert the numbers on her spreadsheet, should she? I mean, I thought that happened automatically? Oh! Gotcha! It will convert normally Suzanne but if you put in more than 1 reading in the cell then it won't convert and you have to enter it manually.
That is a pain! So now my other question. Why do I so frequently see people with both World and US spreadsheets… and I am trying to look at the US tab and all I see is a bunch of ### in the cells? It converts automatically if you only put one BG into it and nothing else. Once you put in more than that you have to go over to the US Ss and put it all in manually. I always found it a real pain to have to do

Ok. I think Merlin is well and truly on the way back up now. I hope he doesn’t bounce.6.2 on both meters!
I agree. I am going to head to bed now because it is midnight here and I need my beauty sleepI would not feed anything now but would scan in an hour. What do you think Bron?
I don’t know if it is like that for every cat, but once it gets in the 50s and lower I think it is a bit unreliable. Also, can we say, as a general (inexact) rule that under 100-ish the Libre starts to be a little unreliable and it’s better to use the human meter?
Yes. I am afraid of shooting again, to tell you the truth. It would be great if we could just skip it and repeat in the morning…I agree. I am going to head to bed now because it is midnight here and I need my beauty sleep
Will you be around now Suzanne?
I think with the next dose you need to reduce it to 0.25 units. I don’t know how accurate that LO was on the libre but he certainly was stubbornly staying at 2.9 for a while and would have dropped lower more quickly without the honey and HC.
I’m so glad you said that, @Bron and Sheba (GA) because those were my thoughts exactly about .25. I had actually suggested .25 as a possible starting dose - only because of some of the Libre readings before any insulin had ever been started.I agree. I am going to head to bed now because it is midnight here and I need my beauty sleep

Yes that right Suzanne, this is what you see on the US spreadsheet if more than 1 reading is entered into the cell and it needs to be filled in manually. That is a pain! So now my other question. He is. And he was naturally at 10 last night and only 12 this morning. I don’t know…Merlin certainly seems to be quite sensitive to insulin. I don’t know if it is just because of the other day or not when he was given too much, but he is responding more than usual to a small amount of insulin,
And skipping tonight isn’t advisableYes. But if he bounces he could bounce longer than 12 hours after the AM, as we have seen…
Why not?And skipping tonight isn’t advisable
Ok. It is. Another test coming up in 10 minutes.Sorry, I went to go feed and medicate all my cats.
Consistency, whenever possible, is very important when using a depot insulin like Lantus - and on the road to getting them regulated. The depot is what helps to give nice flat cycles - although Merlin is probably going to bounce now. It will take several days for the depot to build. A 50 percent reduction would be to .25 units. That’s a pretty significant reduction. How about seeing where he is later on and at 9:00? I know the stress is killing you!
Oh, so when I see that it means that the numbers have not been entered in manually. Thank you. I always wondered this.Yes that right Suzanne, this is what you see on the US spreadsheet if more than 1 reading is entered into the cell and it needs to be filled in manually.

Jill Merlin hasn't bounced today, he just dropped a bit low, maybe he will bounce tonight or tomorrow only time will tell us that. With bounces you will normally see higher numbers lasting up to 3 days. (6 cycles)Yes. But if he bounces he could bounce longer than 12 hours after the AM, as we have seen…
Cats can react badly to some insulin but Merlin hasn't reacted badly he's just dropped a little lower than expected with the 0.5 unit.Maybe he will need some other type of insulin. Could he possibly just react badly to Lantus? Does this happen?
Hi Jill,He’s eating a new food to him Canagan chicken with duck. He likes it. No water added.
