You will have to keep experimenting for sure. You can first try it on Chewy and if cat does not like it, easy refund. Then if you know he likes it you can order it elsewhere. it is annoying to have to buy the cases for sure. I also forgot to mention shrimp (but not any kind he likes the cooked jumbo shrimp lol). Henry does not care about tuna or other fish but loves the bonita flakes - just not every day, have to alternate. He also loves beef to my big surprise and sometimes lamb. It is a challenge for sure. Here is another list of treats posted here (some are no longer sold but still good):https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/list-of-low-carb-healthy-treats.9172/

I have the Halo Liv-A-Littles I also found that Kaz loves the Holistic Natural Feline Treats. These are packed with vitamins and omega. Both my cats go nuts for them. Trader Joes sells them or Amazon in bulk.
Since diabetes I buy everything in bulk as we seem to go through everything twice as fast.

Just looking at your spreadsheet. Do you ever sleep? You have a reading every hour. Even with the buttons you have to physically scan the device.
Here's me complaining about 4 hours sleep a night. Never seen a SS so filled in.

Hi Claire, with the Libre sensor, when you download to your computer you can see data for the entire 24 hrs (sensor sends data every 15 min) as long as you scan often (no less than 8 hrs). One vet told me to stay up to at least 2 am a few nights to see his nadir at night and I did for a long time until I figured out I don't always have to because of the download. I like to know what is happening when I am not scanning ( I have had surprises when his nadir was at PMPS for example). It is a wonderful too, far from perfect but lifesaver for me. Depending where his BG is, I do stay up late sometimes 2 am or later until his BG is up. As I increase the dose and his numbers come down I will be more and more sleep deprived. I had some nights with 4 hrs of sleep and I completely understand. When I get 6 or 7 hrs it feels like OMG what a treat. I have not taken any vacation days this year and plan to start taking a day here and there to just try to get some sleep. Memorial Day feels like a blessing right now. Let's get this party (staycation to sleep in) started lol

Interesting I really thought you had to scan it with the device to get data.

Hi Bron

I know your still sleeping but I wanted to check in with you to see when you want me to start to put the vacation plan into affect.
I am assuming it will be before I travel so that we know it works. I know its still a bit off but 21 days will go fast.
I also want to confirm that the following is the way to go to change his dosing times. I currently give doses at 6.15am/6.15pm but need to move it to 8.30am/8.30pm for Laurie.

Yes that timetable is good.
It’s too early yet to think about what dose to give. I’ll talk to a couple of experienced people well before the date so we have a plan for you.
Just remind me of your departure date. It’s mid June isn’t it?

Hi Bron

Not sure if your around but Kaz's numbers are way too low to give him a full shot. I am going to wait 20 minutes and test again but based on the fact his number is currently 98 I doubt it will come up by much. Unless I hear otherwise I will only give 0.5 units.

Thanks
