He didn’t get his usual snack at +4How long until +5? And when did he last eat? I would not give too much so he’ll still be willing to eat.
So that’s a good long time with no food prior to his pm test. Good question, Kim.His last snack is at 5.30pm +8 I test at 9pm let him eat & shoot at 9.30pm
I don’t think you are doing it wrong. Just not supposed to feed for two hours before test times. Please don’t say I do it wrong ;-/

So you will test at +5? To make sure he’s still flat or rising? He didn’t get his usual snack at +4

If he hasn’t eaten since +3 I hope that was enough to keep him from dropping. I thought you fed him at +3 and +4 and then quit at +4 but now I see what you mean. Well… not too much longer until +5…. hope Kim is still here tooLast spoon was at +3 so yes![]()

It’s how long it takes him to eat lolWith Lantus, you really want test/feed/shoot all within around 10mins, no need to wait 30mins after food to shoot.. if I’m understanding how you do it right.
Waiting to see if sleep is in your near future or not, too![]()
Guess I can lol but I won’tI know! I’m just sitting here waiting. Hoping you can go to bed soon.
I’ll see but think he is lolWhoa. You can sleep. Is he hungry? LC food would be fine if he wants it.
I would shoot Gus while his head was in the bowlIt’s how long it takes him to eat lol
Hahaha might do that then no worries I’ll stick to the 10mn after test thanksI would shoot Gus while his head was in the bowl![]()
Well as long as you know there’s no need to wait before shooting. I used to shoot quickly and stick the bowl down as soon as I was done. I could do it while he was eating too. Conventional Wisdom is that the whole test, shoot, feed procedure should take about 10-15 minutes. Is he calmer after he’s eaten? Is that why you like to let him finish first? It’s how long it takes him to eat lol
I kinda prefer letting him eat because if he is too excited he throws up…if he eats too fast…Well as long as you know there’s no need to wait before shooting. So, if you want to sleep, you can reply to this later… no rush
Just trying to get an idea of the feeding schedule to went with today. Can you list times (in FDMB style times) and how much food was given?
If he’s a scarf and barfer, small mini meals should actually benefit him a bit
Oh my.. Shai, what’s going on?Couldn’t sleep thought I’ll check +7 gosh I almost fainted 538
He was getting 1 can & started losing weight so I increased to 1 & a half which is almost finished at am & pmNo worries! Please, get some sleep!
I know I’ve said we need to incorporate mini meals to help soften the drops he’s getting. My concern now is that I think he’s getting too much in one meal in early cycle… I think you said 2 cans of FF in an hours time just after PMPS (including preshot meal)?
My main concern is that if for whatever reason he decides that it doesn’t matter how much food he gets and drops low he might be too full to eat when we really, really need him to eat.
Try doing only a half can of FF for breakfast (I’m sorry Shai!!) then a bit more at +1.5 … if he’s dropping, then a tsp more. The numbers will tell you when you need to feed, and if you don’t know, don’t hesitate to ask.
