which flavor? usually the carb % varies from flavor to flavor within a given brand. Any flavor in particular you are curious about? I will try to figure it out even though you didn't tag me and for that I am just slightly miffed

 :joyful:

Yes, they are low carb but the best way to "test" any food is to try it. If your cats numbers go up, then you know there's something in it that spikes your cat's BG.

There are still people in the Facebook Feline Diabetes group feeding the Special Kitty pates so I'd give it a try!

I'm so sorry.I didn't mean to offend you. I was trying to remember everyone. I usually scroll up from where I'm posting to see former posts and copy and paste the tag names. My apologies!

I didn't really know much about Walmart's brand of Special Kitty. I've never used it. I have recently learned about it and would like to know particularly the Pate flavors without gravy what their carb percentage is.

Any pate flavor without gravy.
Mixed Grill
Super Supper
Classic Tuna
Chicken, Tuna & Whitefish
Salmon
Chicken & Tuna
Turkey & Giblets?
Beef
Chicken
Whitefish

Thank you very much! I appreciate any information about this product.

no no no i was kidding anyway, I'm not even close to be worthy of a tag lol. You tagged all the expert people I would have!

I came up with 10% calories from carbs for the Chicken and Tuna Dinner, 7% for the Mixed Grill

I'll see if I can do some more later

Awww....thank you so much! I really appreciate it.

My special boy fluffy does not want to eat Fancy Feast or Friskies anymore I don't know what other wet food to feed him that is within my budget that's low carb. So until I can figure out what wet food to feed him he's eating dry food from the community dish as I have 7 cats. Purina Naturals.

we have a six-cat household and switched them all to wet food. I don't even know how much money we're spending but it is a lot so I completely understand

we are lucky in that we have two incomes and the fur kids are our only kids, so at this time we are able to handle the expense.

Only 1 income here on part time mimimum wage.. I'd be fine switching them all to wet if I was able.

Hi Scarlette, I completely understand Fluffy getting tired of the Fancy Feast. My Henry is the pickiest cat in the world. He only ever liked the Fancy Feast Beef Classic Pate and the Chopped Grill Pate and got tired pretty quickly. I also offer Wellness Pate (comes in different flavors). It comes in 3 oz, 5.5 oz and 12.5 oz which can be economical. Also some Weruva and Halo Spot Pate. He got bored of everything. So I have to be very smart and find ways to make him eat. I sprinkle 1 or 2 Stella and Chewy freeze dried morsels (different flavors and you can buy the small pack from Chewy to try - if he does not like it Chewy will reimburse you), Fortiflora, Bonito Flakes, pieces of cooked shrimp, chicken and so on to make food enticing. So far so good fingers crossed. He loved his dry food and no more of that for him now. Just have to be creative.
Also, not sure where you live, but where I live they have pet food banks and they make have low carb food donated by people. They may be able to help you with all your fur babies. For example Petsmart collects all kinds of food donations from people and gives them to food banks. Just something to consider. Hope you will find something Fluffy approves:)
