"Levemir for Pets" vs normal Levemir/Detemir? Mexican Detemir?

What's the difference between "Levemir for Pets" compared to normal Levemir or Detemir? I'm trying to see if I can source some from Mexico (in Cabo) for cheaper than Mark's Pharmacy?

Where do you see "levemir for pets"? As far as a I know, there is only the Norvo Nordisk product and anything else might be repackaged, which we high discourage using due to possible decline in efficacy and longevity. I've seen a couple cases where people used repackaged insulin that wasn't as "strong" as the real product.

If you cross the border into Canada, you can also get cheaper Levemir OTC than Mark's prices. Then there's the cost of the trip...

There's no difference. I'm not sure why Marks has started breaking their insulin's up like that but they did the same for Lantus and Basaglar. It may have something to do with keeping their human clients and their furry clients separate but I don't know for sure.

Maybe it's a matter of taxation. Not long ago, I was told by my pharmacist that in Canada insulin for human use was now tax-free but if it's for pets, you have to pay tax.
