It's just weird! I'm very hesitant to shoot as it showed on the AlphaTrak as 7.2 (the range used in Canada is 4.0-8.0), so even with variation on the upside that 7.2 is in normal range...

I assume you are home today and can test and keep an eye on him...if so I would shoot. Shoot low to stay low right!
Just remember we want to adjust insulin based on nadir not preshots. It's so easy to get caught up in the preshot numbers since they are usually higher we tend the think they may need more insulin.
Yes, I think the thing that got me was from his previous foray the night before into not just blue but green! And for him to have 130 at AMPS must mean he went low last night after I got the yellow PMPS +2. I’m hoping you are right about him getting on board with the program and that insulin is starting to work.
I hope so too! I'm very logical so if his numbers are improving like they are the only explanation to me is that his body is finally using the insulin correctly. Which means he is healing and getting past the glucose toxicity and the procedure you had done for the tumor may finally be kicking in as well. Like I said a switch flipped LOL

It is quite passive aggressive. I mean does he think he's in competition with FDMB? He once used to compliment me on the fact I was so engaged with Eddie's (and Blue's) care, as in doing research, advocating, asking questions, etc. Sheesh.

As for the IM vet, I'm not sure why you even bother asking him. I would have been surprised if you had gotten a timely answer from the IM vet. With being the only internist in the area, I'm sure he's pretty busy. It didn't take me many times of delayed responses before I stopped asking dosing questions of my vet. This place is "staffed" 24 hours. The FDMB is not managing Eddie's DM control. You are, you hold the syringe. We are providing suggestions, but it's ultimately up to you to decide what to do.
