My husband said we need falconer gloves. LOL
What's odd is that at least twice in the last several days I was able to easily inject Leo without my husband's assistance, and barely a flinch or bite from Leo. Most other days, he swats at me as I carefully approach him. That's when I get help. Oh, and the turning back to bite me. Anyway, today was a difficult morning, however he hardly reacted for the actual shot--this is when I'm suspicious of a FS. Fortunately I'm usually wrong.

Oh, my! I looked at AF remains.... ummm, I was so tired I see the last spot has food in it. It's supposed to be empty!

Now I remember what happened... I removed a portion of the LC from each space and out the 'discard' in the empty spot. And then add the HC portion to the LC, BUT forgot to remove the 'discard' afterward, so the last space is empty. At least it was LC, but still. Not sure if this morning's AMPS was really a fasting BG!

Does he mind the testing as well? Or only the shooting?

He's definitely more cooperative with the ears, though he occasionally tries to bite me as I bring the sock to his ear--FORTUNATELY NOT TOO OFTEN. He still gets the Ledum applied occasionally--especially when frequently testing, like yesterday.

I bought a pair of flexible garden gloves designed for pruning roses. They went almost up to my elbows. They were great when I was doing monthly nail trims day at the local shelter.

Thanks for the tip! Since Leo had a vet appointment to get bloodwork and see if he was diabetic (or what), so I had them do a nail trim, too. $25 pet pedicure. I usually do it myself, but not as short as the vet office. One of the other three kitties (Isaiah) is worse than Leo when it comes to trimming nails; his brother, Andy, is the easiest one to trim, but all this Leo time has kept me away from it. This encourages me or anyone else here to help out more. These gloves will do the magic! I hope!!
