Getting back on track after a PM fs on 4/30 then a partial fs on PM 5/1.

We started yesterday firmly in the pink, but gradually slid down & eventually saw some blue, then dipped into green overnight. It was good to sleep well.

Off to a good start this morning - I'm okay with a slow descent - hopeful for a good day & happy? to see Maus acting more normal (no touching!)

I'm not so worried about the vomit overnight as it's gone back to foamy clear liquid with loads of fur. I can generally get a 1mg bit of ondansetron past her when tucked into a small bite of sardine so will keep up with that; as needed up to 6mg/day. I brush several times a day (that touching is okay) & would love it if someone could spin yarn from the loads of downy white fluff that comes off ;)

Awesome cycle last night!

I once went to a textile show that had a section of the exhibit with garments made from cat and/or dog fur. I have a big bag of Neko fur, but not sure it'd spin down to something much larger than a small square.

If you do a fur shot, it helps to put something like FS of PFS (partial fur shot) beside the dose in the units column, so we can easily see it. Fur shots do impact timing/counting of cycles.

Yes, I did, but put a ? next to the second one as I wasn't sure. It was just a bit of liquid and it was possible there was some on the end of the syringe from drawing the dose. I believe it was apparent after the +3 that I missed at least some of it, but I'm still figuring this out so didn't want to make a judgement.

I'm using SureComfort syringes with glargine generic pens (Mylan brand) & lately have been pulling an air bubble that really sticks to the plunger. The usual tapping doesn't free it, so I pull a bit extra, remove from the pen, pull in some air, turn the pen on it's side and flick to join the two air bubbles. Only then can I turn the syringe needle up and push out the air and any extra insulin. It's usually only a drop or two, but sometimes it runs down the needle to the top of the syringe. I give it a flick, but sometimes a bit remains and gets on her fur. Thus, my question about the fs but that time it seemed a bit more than residual, but not a full dose.

There's no air in the insulin pen and I'm wondering if by not using the dosing mechanism (pulling via syringe vs pushing as design intended), there's a bit of a vacuum in the pen & I'm getting air from outside somehow. I'm going to try using the dosing mechanism before I pull into the syringe and see if that makes a diff.
