? 4-29 Panzer PMPS 223/ 224@+3/171@+4/189@+6/182@+8/LANTUS/GARGLINE Starting tomorrow dosing?

Panzer is fairly high tonight. I have been doing a combo of cerenia & doxycycline for his UTI that he has now had for 3mons. He did well with the first dose of doxycycline on Sunday, was puking on it on Monday. Had a vet visit on Tuesday & so far the doxycycline & cerenia are working. He did however just have a loose stool, so I will be reducing his mirilax dose at +8 PMPS tonight to an 1/8 of a tsp. He gets insulin at 4am & 4pm Indiana time. I give him saccharomyces boulardi probiotic @ AMPS feeding with a half a jar of beech nut turkey or chicken baby food, Zobaline @+4 AMPS feeding Cerenia @PMPS feeding, doxycycline @ +4 PMPS, mirilax @+8 PMPS feeding. He gets 0.5 units of prozinc, I've been giving a FAT 0.5 because the prozinc is not long acting any longer. His new prescription is for 1 unit of insulin glargine daily. Typically we start the switch at the same dose as the existing insulin, depending on how it's doing. Which would be 0.5 units AM and PM. I presume you can continue to monitor as you have been?

You may wish to start posting on the Lantus forum, at least in the beginning, to get more eyes on you, as you start the switch. Good luck and I hope it gets you longer duration.

Ok I will start him at 0.5 then. Yes I will definitely be monitoring him, probably more the next 2 days since I'm off work. Ok I will post over there tomorrow. Thank you I hope it does too.
