With his history of DKA, you would not want him to be too high either. The sitter will come twice a day to give shots? Do you have an auto feeder for the rest of the day/night? Will he eat okay when you aren't around?
Normally you you would have increased to 1.5U tomorrow and I am wondering if you still should considering you are travelling from Tuesday to Sunday next week.

My brother will be staying with him and giving him his shots but they won't be able to test him during the day. I will have him set an autofeeder as well for feeding between shots. This is our first time leaving him since his hospitalization so I'm hoping he'll eat ok. I'll have my brother going through the routine with Yoshi for a few days just to get him used to feeding him and giving him his shot, so hopefully that will make him more comfortable when we leave.
It's looking like he may go down into the blues tonight? Going to see if he continues to drop a little. Do you think I should risk going up to 1.5 tomorrow morning?

If you were not traveling, I would have suggested an increase tomorrow morning - unless you got a blue AMPS. Let's see what the others say.
When's the last time you tested Yoshi for ketones?
I'd be reluctant to increase on a dose seeing greens if there will be no mid cycle testing while you are gone. His preshots are no indication of how low he'll go during the cycle if that's the only testing he will get. Or maybe get a Libre on him?

It's probably been at least a month since I last tested for ketones. I'll try to get one in tomorrow. Yeah, unfortunately he won't be able to get tested while we're away and I don't think I'll be able to get to the vet in time to get a libre on him?
It's looking like he's likely to stay in the 200s today. He hasn't been seeing any greens the last 7 cycles...would maybe even a bump up to a skinny 1.5 be too risky?
The other thing to factor in is how consistently your brother will be able to measure the dose. If you aren't leaving until Tuesday, you could raise the dose and see how he's doing on it over the weekend, and drop it back down if the answer is "too low for comfort".
