We started the increase for Lucifer on 4/18 the PM shot. He went from 1 to 1.5. He hasn't responded as well as I was hoping. I know I had read before to wait before increasing to dose for about 4-5 days? Would I then increase him to 2? My current vet, we are changing to a new one thankfully, had told me to go from 1 unit to 3 2x a day. I felt that was too big of a jump and followed advice here instead as I felt it was the better way to go. How long should it take to know whether or not the new dose is good for him?
 
You can increase every 3 days if needed. If you don’t see a nadir under 300 you would then increase to 2.0. If under 300 it would be a .25 increase. So you could increase tomorrow night.

Lucifer ;) haha he must have a big personality for that name! Hoping the great advise above helps this guy! Wishing him the best!
 
Hehe thank you he’s actually a total love bug and a doll lol, now my other kitty Fantasia (we call her Tator) could have definitely been a Lucifer lol.

Thats how it goes sometimes! I could have named one of my cats 2 xs over in the 5 years ive had him ( another household cat)
