04/20 Eddie AMPS 326 +3 362 PMPS 383 +2.5 462 (sound familiar?)

I feel this! I too tend to be a helicopter mom;)

This morning he was sitting in his chair in the living room, which is where he's been all night. i was thinking "Is he lethargic?", "Does he feel ok?" "What if he won't eat?" as he was just sitting there. I was calling the rest of the cats into the kitchen and his usual modus operandi is to be there first thing, front and centre. I was getting all revved up thinking "Ok, if he doesn't come into the kitchen I can try bringing his breakfast to him and seeing if he will eat it. If he doesn't, I'll have to take him back to the clinic", etc. etc. (as you probably well know). So, I prepared everyone's food and got together the medications and the glucose monitor and all was ready. I thought I'll have to see about testing him in the living room and/or luring him into the kitchen, maybe? I go into living room. He's not there. The chair is empty. I return to the kitchen and he's sitting calmly on the rug where I usually test him. Of course he was keeping track of preparations all along. And now he's Just Sitting There. I say to him, "You're way more chill than I, Eddie."

Breakfast eaten, insulin given, he's on his tower in a sunbeam.

Consider yourself a charter member of the helicopter mom club. :bighug::bighug: It's a popular club here.

Maybe hold this dose a few cycles, give it a chance to build.

What, you guys have sunshine?
Yes, at least until tomorrow. 14 degrees today!

Ok, I'll hold to 6u and see what that brings. In helicoptering all over the place I have come to appreciate that we have here a virtual fleet of pilots. :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat::cat::cat::bighug::bighug::bighug:

OMG, it took awhile to read the past few Yesterdays but Holy Molly, what an ordeal you had! Glad to read Eddie is responding to the treatment.

Are you giving probiotics along with the antibiotic though? Those antibiotics really are harsh on the GI system. But I'm glad he's eating though........Not to add to the Helicoptering around here LOL:bighug::bighug::bighug:

OMG is right! This past week has been epic but at least Eddie is back to his old tricks. We're on 6u as of today so we'll see where that leads but the good part is that he's eating (fireworks here!!) and recognizably doing all his Eddie things again. I'm still hovering and helicoptering and surveilling like a fiend and he's tolerating that. I think the next few days will show a clear path...

Hooray for Eddie eating and doing Eddie things!

New Dose Wonkiness probably caused that +2.5. I did say to hold for a few cycles if you want to see what this dose can do. If you think 9 units is better and "the last good dose", then increase. What does your gut tell you? Have things changed for Eddie the last few days?
