Been a few weeks! We started the methimazole last week, I have to call and reschedule follow up thyroid and kidney labs. He does hate the med though...it's like the 3 stooges trying to watch my husband catch him and give it to him

The BG pattern is a bit interesting, will keep an eye but it's almost like starting from square 1, runs away when meter comes out.

We did go back to the cabergoline at 5mcg/kg EOD (he was at 1.5 weeks, then when methimazole started we changed to 1 week), as the methimazole is known to counteract cabergoline in humans, so I'm case BG was related to that we just proactively bumped it up.

Not a whole lot to add. Still have the 5 Ps, so all is good here for now.

No we are using the pills compounded in chicken flavor. I know it's bitter, poor guy. But was reading that the gel isn't always as effective, plus with kids running around don't want them accidentally touching that. Or me when I need to test...testing with gloves on is quite awkward.

More like I fear for DHs fingers trying to pill him...

But that's a good idea. Maybe next round we'll try that, or rather get both
