My cat's name is Benny. He’s 2. He was recently diagnosed with diabetes last week.
I originally took him into the vet because he completely stopped eating altogether. The vet said he either had hepatitis or hepatic lipidosis and eating proper nutrition and taking an antibiotic was necessary for him (plus Prozinc insulin). So she sent me home with canned A/D and I was having to force syringe feed him for a few days. I read that freeze fried chicken was okay for diabetic cats so I sprinkled that on top of the A/D canned food and he would eat 2 cans a day (what she recommended).
Fast forward, and we are needing to switch him off the urgent care A/D food.
So far, we're trying Tiki Cat Succulent Chicken.
The vet put him on 2 units of Prozinc. Everything I have read says that's really too high to start. He's still not acting like himself.
I just got my AlphaTrak2 tonight. Where can I find the numbers that are safe to inject him vs not? I will test him pre shot morning and evening. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Don’t you just love autocorrect! It drives me crazy. Some of the autocorrects are unprintable … thank goodness I see those!
