? 3/28 Bella AMPS 103, +1 69, PMPS 126 question for tomorrow: will not be able to do PM shot on time

She is on a roll! :D

A little food every hour for the first 3-4 hours of the cycle will keep her surfing nicely.
 
Thank you, Bhooma! I will put some in her feeder. I will be out for an hour or two but the kids are home. 14 and 16, they are big enough to react if needed. It's so good to see those numbers! And she's acting like she feels better, too. Yesterday she even asked to go outside, so we let her. She hates the cold and it was about -6 C, so she did not stay long, but still, it's so good to see her be more herself.

Just ask them to nudge her towards food if she doesn't eat by herself from the feeder.

Yes, they really go back to being their old selves once their numbers get regulated and it's so wonderful to see that! :-)

I notice you switched from AlphaTrak to Relion Premier. May I ask what prompted the change and now that you are using Relion how do you find it?

Is there a difference in values? Must one get a larger blood drop for the Relion?

The main reason was the price, I wanted to test her more but the AlphaTrak are one dollar for each strip, that adds up fast. I like it. In retrospect i regret that i did not buy the similar one from CVS since there is a CVS close to where I am, but no Walmart. I rder them online and it's fine as long as I think about it early enough.
The drop has to be a little larger but not much. I had more error messages for not enough blood with it that with the AT, but not too many, and since the strips are cheap it's not as frustrating.
The values are different but the spreadsheet is different too, if I remember well it's similar in the middle values but higher on lower numbers on the AT and higher in high numbers on the Relion. I tried to compare the first day but as Bandit's mom told me, there is no point!
 
Question for tomorrow: we're going to the theater and will not be home at the time of her shot. We'll leave about 30 minutes before the regular time and be back 2 or 3 hours later. Should I shot early, her normal dose, or whith a smaller dose, or skip it completely?

You can shoot 15 mins early in the AM and another 15 mins early (so 30 mins in all) in the PM and feed HC at PMPS and leave some higher carbs out.
