Not surprised. To be extra extra conservative, I would keep him on this dose at least 4-6 cycles to ensure that it is not the previous depot affecting his numbers.
Unless he drops below 40!
 
I would even go as far as to suggest you keep him on this dose for a week or till he drops below 40 - whichever is sooner.

Since he has come down the dosing scale so fast, it is better to give him insulin support a little longer before starting an OTJ trial.
 
Ok, now you are making me nervous... that "below 40" makes me very unconfortable :nailbiting:
I have all time in the world so one week is much better for my mental sanity hehehe
 
Don't worry. We are talking of 1 week of which 1 day is already over. Or a drop below 40 IF that happens.
Let us see how it goes. If you find you are using a lot of carbs to keep him over 50, we can reevaluate.
