Panzer has been doing great up until about 30mins ago. He puked about 10mins after eating his +4 feeding, then he just puked again a few minutes ago. We have a scheduled vet appointment tomorrow to check his urine for the UTI. I'm not sure why he's puking. I was going to try & give him a couple of tsps @+ 5 PMPS but maybe I should wait a little longer? I know by looking in my notes that if the puking continues that we need to get some Cerenia for vomiting & ondansetron for nausea. Do we need anything else? Hopefully that will be the end of it! I have to get a clean catch of urine in the am to take to the vet with me. I'm hoping if it's still got bacteria in it that he has some urine in his bladder so the vet can get that. Is there anything else I need to know for his appointment tomorrow? He is as far as I know pooping formed poop now, he was on Tuesday. I haven't been able to watch him due to work & haven't watched back on the camera. I wonder if I'm giving him to much food? I have been giving him & Spook a little more for the past couple of days because I had to get rid of Ellie. I hated to do it, but she beat Spook up to the point that he was bleeding & he peed himself. They couldn't even be in the same room together without her freaking out. @Suzanne & Darcy @FrostD @Diane Tyler's Mom @Katherine&Ruby @Butters & Lyla @Wendy&Neko @Bron and Shebahttps://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/03-04-panzer-pmps-102-97-2-86-4-91-8.260202/#post-2922346 (GA) https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...-pmps-102-97-2-86-4-91-8.260202/#post-2922346

Tagging @Bron and Sheba (GA) since your original tag is broken

I'm not sure why he would be puking so much. Did he eat something he's not supposed to? I mean, I know it's Panzer lol is it yellow bile, partially digested food, food that was literally just eaten?

It was food & liquid I'm assuming the extra water I've been adding in to keep him hydrated through the UTI. It had some chicken in it as well that I had given him after testing like I always do. No belive it or not he hasn't gotten into any people food in a while Lol. He trys, but I'm on it. No yellow bile. He's laying on the very top tote in my dining room right now. He was running around the house like a crazy boy after his PMPS shoot & feeding. I have been having to put fortiflora on his food here the past couple of times, but I figured it was just him being picky.

Hmm. Well hopefully he's over it now, but good thing you have a vet visit tomorrow

Panzer was meowing so I decided to feed 30mins early. He won't touch it even with fortiflora in it, I even tried a tap of baby food, he licked some of the baby food but is refusing to eat? What is the name of the appetite stuff?

Hi Chris, so Panzer has stopped puking now but isn't eating very much?

Acid build-up can also cause vomiting. If that's the case, he will need Famotidine. A few months back, Bandit was getting Ondansetron for nausea, Famotidine for acidity and Cyproheptadine as an appetite stimulant.

Ok thank you so much. Hopefully he will eat tomorrow @AMPS if doesn't eat food, I will give him baby food again. I guess it's a good thing we have a vet appointment tomorrow!

How is Panzer this morning? Since he’s finished the Clavamox, I don’t understand the vomiting. I will probably get criticized for saying this, but it could be that the other things you are giving him, even the probiotic is upsetting his tummy (which one are you using? Remind me. Did you go with s. Boulardii?). I would stop all supplements temporarily until the vomiting has resolved and add back in one at a time. His numbers are so good that he’s not in danger of diabetic neuropathy so I would not worry about stopping the Zobaline for a little while. Get some Cerenia from the vet for sure. Tell the vet what’s going on and how frequently he has been vomiting. I see in your notes that he would not eat anything except baby food last night. I hope he is back to eating this morning.

Scrolling back up through this condo, I see a mention of Famotidine. That is Pepcid AC original strength 10 mg. with nothing else added. You can give him 1/4 of a Pepcid AC in the morning (do you have a pill cutter?). This will control excess stomach acid. However, I am not necessarily recommending it at this point. First of all, cats who are vomiting because of excess stomach acid are usually vomiting on an empty stomach… frequently in the morning before breakfast. They normally vomit foamy liquid on an empty stomach and not food. It sounds like Panzer was vomiting up his food.

:(
He could be having a flare of pancreatitis
He wouldn't eat anything except baby food this morning @AMPS. I pill pocketed the zobaline @+4 feeding, he licked a little bit of food out of his bowl @+4 feeding AMPS got some water mainly, of course he has been eating his boiled chicken treat after testing. I tried giving him tiki cat succulent chicken recipe in chicken consomme & he ate all of it! He absolutely loved it. He has kept it down so far fingers crossed! I am still going to get all of the meds mentioned above when we go to the vet. I haven't given him any D Mannose or probiotic since he puked. He had a normal stool this morning & I got a urine sample this morning, tested it for ketones & it was negative, thank God. I'm going to go ahead & have them do a full panel bloodwork on him & test for pancreatitis. Should I have any other tests done? We have to be there in an hour & 15mins. @Suzanne & Darcy

You’ve got this. Just make sure that they do the fPLI test and not the quickie one. The fPLI is the most accurate.

That blood test has to be sent out to a lab. You will get more bang for your buck if you have the blood labs sent out. You should get results back tomorrow. The urine they will probably jist look at under a microscope in the vet’s office to view any remaining bacterial cells, which they probably will not see after the Clavamox. Good luck!

Ok I will make sure they do that test & send them to the lab. He definitely doesn't feel good just by the way he'sacting, I can tell. I will let you know how it goes! Thank you:cat:

Panzer's vet visit went well he does still have mobile cocci cells? WBC 3+ He had a full panel bloodwork done & a fPLI test as well. He also had a urinalysis done & sent to the lab, luckily he had some urine in his bladder. They have machines to do the bloodwork & urinalysis in house but it would have cost more so I opted for them to be sent to the lab. He said they should have the results by Monday. He doesn't think it's pancreatitis, we will know for sure once the results come back. He gave me enough Cerenia to get me through the weekend ( give 1/2 tablet by mouth every 24hrs 24mg/tablet) he also said I could get the Famotidine 5mg at the pharmacy over the counter. So far he is keeping the tiki cat food down. Should I give him the famotidine & the Cerenia now that he's keeping food down or just hold onto it? @Suzanne & Darcy

I tried to put a pic of the urinalysis but it didn't work. If anyone has a FB I can send it to them in msger, it won't let me copy & paste either

If you get the 5 mg then just give him half of it. The dose is supposed to be 2.5 mg. for a cat. Sounds like the vet visit went well. Good thing you rechecked everything because those stupid bacteria are still in there! What's up with that?

Good question because he's not acting weird in the litter box or acting like he's in any kind of pain. I have a pic of the urinalysis results from the urine I brought in but it won't let me put it on here for some reason. Last picture of ketone results I sent to Bron in msger but I don't want to keep bothering her

I would just try the Cerenia first and see if that helps for a few days. If he's not vomiting on an empty stomach where nothing but fluid comes up with some foam, I wouldn't use the Pepcid. Cerenia is very effective at controlling vomiting.

I know. I usually email them to myself and get the photos from there and put them on my computer desktop and drag them into my message. I'm sure there must be an easier way.

I emailed them to myself, but I'm currently locked out of my desktop Lol I can't remember the pin # for the life of me. Here's how it reads if I'm correct. Blood Neg Billirubin Neg Urobilinogen 2 Ketones Neg Protein Trace Nitrite Neg Glucose Neg pH 6.5 Leukocytes 500+++ Asborbic Acid 20 Crystals none Mobile cocci WBC 3+

Ok I will go ahead & grab some just incase. I'm off to Petsmart with screenshots of tiki cat & Weruva to look at if they even have any. Spook is also turning his nose up to fancy feast so I may be making a huge return!

Just the white cells and cocci from the infection which you already know about. I don't see anything else bad in there.
