Hello everyone
Still pretty new. Why are his numbers getting higher and higher today?

Fed him some FF at 11
And tested again at +9 @ 4:15pm eastern time

omorrow or whenever you post next link this condo to the new one.

I am glad you switched to lantus. Looking at your spreadsheet I see why you are getting wacky bg. Whether you follow SLGS or TR we start by increasing in .25 increments. I see you jumped from 1.75 to 2.5 and then because the bg was low gave a token dose of .50. Even with TR when nadirs are under 300 you would increase by .25 or since almost 300 possibly by .50. Then you went back to 1.75 which was smart. Lantus likes consistency so you need to give the 1.75 time to see what it will do for Nestle. Since you were seeing nadirs under 150 he bounced from being lower than his body feels comfortable seeing. Bounces can take 4-6 cycles to clear. Have you decided on a method?

Thank you for your response.
Just to clarify once I started Lantus we started with 1.5 under the advice of my vet. Then after I did the curve on March 2, my vet decided to raise it to 2.5. Not knowing any better as I'm still new at this I listened to him and almost got ourselves in trouble. Under the advice of one of the members on here we decided to go down to 1.75.

That was the right thing to do. It’s also why you are seeing wonky numbers. Now he needs time to adjust. Once in 1.75 for 6 cycles if you decide to follow TR or 7 days if you choose SLGS we will be able to see if this is a good dose. If before then he drops under 90 with SLGS you would reduce. With TR it’s under 50.

Thanks, Diane. I saw that bit linked the other as it gave more info.

Karoliba have you decided on a dosing method?
Hi Elise, oh I absolutely agree with you linking her intro post
Her other post about how bad the neuropathy is getting is where I replied about it
She posted a pic of Nestle walking , poor kitty ,the front paws broke my heart
Maybe I'll put the info here also

Karolina here is your other post
? Diabetic Neuropathy getting worse

You can order this Methyl B-12 they ship to Canada , I have used it for years and a lot of other members use this Methyl B-12 , just open up the capsule mix it in with the wet food add some water, it's tasteless. If you want you can but folic acid at any supermarket and add 200 mcg's crush it up
If you can't find exactly 200 MCG get the 400 MCG and cut them in half

Thanks, Diane. I saw that but linked the other as it gave more info.

Karolina, have you decided on a dosing method?

I have yet to decide. I'm not sure which method would be more fitting with my work schedule as I don't have a 9-5 job my hours could be all over the place. One week I could be home few days and another week I could work 6 days in a row and various hours.
Any tips/suggestions?

As long as you can get an amps and pmps, and at least one more test each cycle and are home in 12 hours from shot time you could do TR.

That's the thing. I can't be positive I can make it back home in 12 hrs all the time. Of course in those cases I would try and arrange to have someone else I can trust to do the test and shot.
But my schedule is a real challenge.

Don’t make this even more stressful for you. Start with SLGS. See how he does. I’d suggest getting an auto feeder that you program to open while you are gone. It works well at night while sleeping.

Thank you.
I actually just got 2 of the auto feeders (Nestle has a brother names Peanut)
I'll be setting them up tomorrow as I'm off.
