I just went to test Panzer & he about fell trying to get in his test box. I then noticed him sticking his tongue out. I tested him & he was at 101 retested 107. I gave him his treat like I normally do ( boiled chicken) now he's laying down bathing. I was going to go run some errands after his +8 feeding in an hour, but now I'm scared to! What could have been wrong with him? Should I stay with him? I don't know what to do? If anyone knows what this could be please help!https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...-117-4-114-5-114-6-116-7.258782/#post-2909014

BG is totally fine. Have you tested ketones lately? I'd be surprised if he had any but you never know. Maybe just old age? Did he eat something he wasn't supposed to? Is he eating ok?

Is he breathing heavily? Try to time breaths per minute.

He licked the chicken pan that I had not washed from boiling his chicken in it a couple of days ago. I put it in the oven & forgot about it, took it out & put it on the counter to use the oven. He's breathing fine, I'm watching him sleep right now. My ketone blood meter quit working but I do have ketone strips. He has eaten all of his food @ AMPS & @ +4. We have 15mins before I test again & feed +8 feeding.

Ok, just keep an eye on him. I don't like the tongue out of the mouth, so watch not only breaths per minute but if it seems labored. Do his ears feel unusually warm?

I just checked his ears & they are fine. He's looked at me like what are you doing Mom I'm trying to sleep:rolleyes: he seems fine, I'm about to test & feed & see what happens. Yeah he doesn't normally stick his tounge out like that! I will definitely be adding some water to there food.

Well he tested at 91 so that's normal. He ate all of his food & he's up on the kitchen counter. He did fine getting in his box on the kitchen table this time too! I have ketone strips ready to test. I'm going to stay home with him & follow him around.
