Still doing good with BG levels! :)
She really is acting very tired though. I’m not sure where that is coming from.
She seems to lay down flat the majority of the time the last couple days.
It’s not her sugar levels of course they are fine.
Is it just the arthritis but did it happen that fast or what is it?
She’s eating well. I saw her drink a little water today, so I don’t think it’s dehydration or is that a concern?
I’m kinda lost here but concerned. Is something else happening that I’m missing?
Any advice? Please help calm my stress :(
I’m scared of what has happened

Hi Mary,
The only other idea I have is that she is getting too much thyroid medication, which would cause hypothyroid symptoms like tiredness. That wouldn't happen suddenly though.

I think I'd go ahead and schedule the next vet appointment to settle my mind! In my years of experience, I've learned to trust my instincts if I think something might be wrong. What do you think? Or, in other words, if I think a pet needs an appointment, I try NOT to talk myself out of going!

Happy Day 9:D:D:D:D:cat::D:D:D:D

I agree with Tina. Maybe the thyroid medication was gradually causing her to be more tired but you didn’t notice until now? If it needs adjusting it’s a easy fix.

Happy day 9!

Oh interesting, I’ve never thought of that.
It happened suddenly. Is it possible she’s still adjusting to no insulin and better sugar levels? How long does insulin take to exit?
I understand what you mean, our mom instinct is always so good.

Ok thanks!
i never thought of that fact.
I didn’t even know the symptoms of hypo/hyper it’s been so long since her thyroid diagnosis I forgot. She’s been controlled so long on 2.5 mg am & pm I never even considered!
It’s a blood test to check?

Yes, a blood test!
And there is no way any insulin you gave could still be in Chloe’s system. Maybe she is worried about you - don’t stress so much about me, mama! Haha, if only our cats knew how much we care.

that is very true, Chloe has always been very in tune with my emotions! She has always been.

is it possible that her thyroid level can change and effect her due to stopping insulin?
Or if she had a pill too close together in the time frame (she takes it every 12 hours) and sometimes I think maybe it might not be exactly that?

I feel really scared right now :(
I don’t think her vet is in on weekends, so maybe I’ll have to go somewhere else? If it’s urgent.

Please don’t worry! It isn’t an emergency!! I doubt being a bit off schedule with meds would change much.
Ideally, you would check the thyroid levels (TSH, T3, T4 . . .) every six months at least. Diabetic changes can affect the thyroid as can changes in weight.
Don’t be scared! I was just guessing anyway. There may be nothing at all wrong with Chloe. Too bad she cannot talk in people language.

I appreciate you helping and offering suggestions! Thank you so much!! I get scared easily. I’m not too educated on any of this so I am very grateful for all of you guys helping me so much!! I trust you judgement so much.
Her last thyroid lab was in July so she is due for it. Her 6 month visit is this due this month. I have no clue really about most of the stuff I probably should know so without this group I would be so lost!
I sure wish they could human speak to us, sometimes I really think I’ve heard Chloe tell me no though :)

I think I asked once but I asked a lot of things so it might have been missed hahaha no worries :)
Is purina pro plan complete essentials a replacement for something else on the acceptable list? A lot of those listed don’t see to be available anymore but complete essentials is available but not on list but it’s from 2017 so wasn’t sure if it’s newer?
She is enjoying the pro plan kitten formula actually and it’s got a bit more calories which is helpful for my peace of mind that she is eating enough :)

I wonder if could also be that perhaps she strained a muscle or something in her leg after not using them to jump for a while when she started to again? the reason I ask is because when I touch her leg it’s only sensitive in one spot and like you said it wouldn’t have occurred so fast.
her pm reading was 102, which isn’t high but >100 :(
