Just a bouncy bouncy girl. Did you by chance retest the +6? Wondering if bad strip/funky test

Ok my gut is telling me something else is going on here, I just don't know what. I know you mentioned she peed the bed, a UTI or something could be part of the issue but it's just odd. Even when cats don't "like" ProZinc it's not this wonky.

Sooooo I want to re-baseline on everything -

When was her last lab work? Just the standard sort of blood panel and urinalysis. Can you post pics or put results in SS? Has she ever had a GI panel?

Any other symptoms? Runny nose/eyes/sneezing, diarrhea/constipation, coat or skin changes, teeth problems?

I'm going to tag a few people for brainstorming: @Christie & Maverick @Bron and Sheba (GA) @Suzanne & Darcy
Ladies - I know you're not as familiar with ProZinc, but just as this post mentions, my gut is telling me something else is going on here. Just trying to brainstorm things to ask vet about. Cystitis/flutd?

Jeni will be leaving for vacation next week, but is talking to the vet about a switch to Lantus/semglee.

How long ago was the DKA? Do you test frequently for ketones in the urine?

You are certainly getting some big drops during the cycles which could be causing bounces but I am wondering also if there is lack of duration. I am not a prozinc user though.
Are you feeding good sized snacks early in the cycles to see if that will slow the drops?
When do you go on holidays?
I think swapping to Lantus or Levemir would be a good option. You certainly don’t want to keep Kaia in those high numbers with a history of DKA. But it could be a problem at the moment if you are going away. I wouldn’t do the swap if the holiday is imminent.

There is definitely lack of duration, it's just not usually this poor. It's why I recommended switch to Lantus. The higher numbers aren't helping duration, but it's just not quite adding up.

She is going to be strategically feeding those first few hours, just trying to find a food she'll eat.

I can call the vet tomorrow and get her blood work. Her DKA was in Dec. I will also have the vet check her teeth. I just don't know what's happening! It's really scaring me though

So the DKA was not that long ago so make sure she is eating well and keep checking a couple of times a week for ketones.
Are you adding some warm water to her snacks?
Good to get her teeth checked.
I think a change of insulin will help.

I'm really scared. She is eating well but drinking A LOT! More than usual. Seems like excessive amounts of urine in litterbox as well. I'm going to have a heart attack!

With those high numbers she will be drinking and peeing a lot.
Just keep making sure she eats well, add water to her food, don’t skip doses of insulin, test for ketones and when you can, I would do the swap to Lantus.
