I am always peeking in on Eddie even if I don't say anything!

Not sure what's going on lately but sooo many newly diagnosed cats on Novolin/ProZinc/Vetsulin having a rough time, it's like a full moon and taking up most of my time.

Do you think things would be better for them with Lantus/Levemir instead?
As for Eddie today: kind of a flat line right through. I'm thinking he may have something up his sleeve...

I think you may be right!

In some cases yes. From what I've seen, maybe half the cats do pretty well on ProZinc (basically meaning they get nice gentle curves and enough duration). There's been about 2-3 remissions in the last year, we have another 2 getting close.

The other half...is a bit rough. Huge dives, nowhere near good enough duration. Ive recommended a switch to depot insulins to probably 3 recently, they should be over here in the next week or so. Hilary and George are a good example - she took him as far as she could on ProZinc, but to fine tune had to move to Lantus.

Semglee recently had a recall. I am wondering about the quality of insulins coming out in the pandemic.

Its not out of the question that market conditions have made manufacturers lazy on quality control.

I have not heard any human patients say they are getting bad numbers yet, but they tend not to want to share that data , especially after the cheating (holiday) season.

Do you what the reason was for the recall? Using insulin that's the subject of recall certainly seems precarious at best.
