Yesterday
I was woken up suddenly early this morning. I heard Molly meowing, I quick literally jumped out of bed. I was thinking she was low. I tested her and she was fine. She sometimes does that and I don’t know why.

Today is our vet visit, I pray everything goes well. We brought the carrier in last night. She went and hid for a few minutes. Then decided she’d check it out . Her appointment is at noon. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I hope the vet visit goes well and Molly doesn't get to stressed out.
I hope you can go in with her. Letvus know how it to s Adrienne :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
In case you didn't see the info about the lactulose go to your condo from yesterday :cat:

He did that to me yesterday morning and I flew out of bed. He was fine, and just wanted to let me know the sun was coming up I suppose. Scary for a second though.
Hope all goes well today.

I felt like a ninja flying out of bed. My husband texted me this morning. Wanted to know what was going on lol. Maybe she’s stressed from the carrier who knows

Sorry for the delay, we went to watch the convoy.
I couldn’t go inside with Molly to the vet. But the vet called said she was good, continue what I am doing. So a good report!
He didn’t feel any poop, backed up. Mentioned her teeth will need cleaning. I don’t feel comfortable with that. Is there away to clean them yourself? Her weight is good! She did hiss at him lol. Mentioned a sedative for travel, well it might make her sleepy. Take it the night before travel and day of in the morning.
She had blood work, but I don’t have the results yet.

Yeah for good vet reports!
Is there away to clean them yourself?
Did the vet mention tartar? Not really a way for you to clean them yourself. Once clean, there are things you can do to help keep the plaque and tartar off. My vet will sometimes take off big chunks of tartar with her fingernail. Not sure it's something I would try. Any chance you have a vet specializing in dentals near you?

I wonder if the vet is talking about gabapentin for travel? I just used Feliway spray in the carrier and a bit of Rescue Remedy on a treat before hand. Neko wasn't afraid to let vets know what she thought of them. LOL.

Yes, Tatar and the cleaning would be done there. Placed on IV and be quick procedure. I just don’t feel comfortable with that.
gabapentin is what he mentioned. I didn’t know how to spell it lol. We’ve tried the feliway spray doesn’t work.
she was quiet while we were waiting in the truck. Maybe it’s the motion she doesn’t like?

Has Molly been under anaesthesia before? Just wondering why your discomfort. Bad teeth can lead to infection, making the diabetes harder to control. More important, doing dental now if she's otherwise in good shape is better than waiting until she's older and not doing as well and perhaps not able to handle anaesthesia.

Maybe try the Rescue Remedy for Pets next?

Only when she was spade. I just know a lady who’s cat. Had a reaction to anaesthesia. She brought him home. He was acting funny, took him to the vet. He died along the way. Ever since she told me that I’m nervous

Sorry I wasn’t on much yesterday. Long story but my four dear foster kittens were transported yesterday to a shelter in New Hampshire and I have been in a funk ever since.

I am glad for the report on Molly. Share blood work when you get it. If she has a lot of tarter on her teeth you can’t clean it off yourself. They have to scale it off. It can cause problems if you don’t get their teeth cleaned when they need it. If her kidneys are all good, I would consider a dental cleanings (sorry, I know you are scared for your baby!) My cats have been through this many times. The only times I have been sorry is when I waited too long to get them cleaned and either there teeth got so bad that they needed extractions or else they became ill with kidney disease and were unable to have their teeth cleaned.

I was suppose to get her blood work back yesterday. But they must’ve been busy. I hope it’s all good!
I’ll get a price and see how much it’s going to cost me. I just worry about her.
