I just tried to give Frankie his PM dose of insulin and I thought it went in but then felt liquid on his fur and could smell the insulin.

I think I know the answer to this but I’m assuming I just have to let it go and not try to give anymore? I don’t think much got in but there is no way to know for sure.

I guess the silver lining is maybe we will get some sleep tonight and I can give his ears a rest tonight? He’s starting to protest more about them being poked so much.
 
It has happened to everyone at one time or another, just the other day I thought I had the insulin part of this 100% down pat no issues and then....was in mid-push of plunger when he magically levitated both sideways and up in the air -- not backwards as i was expecting and for which I was prepared. A test later indicated he probably got a tiny little bit but who knows how much. You just mark it on the SS and remember that it resets the current Depot Cycle. In other words, if you were planning on sticking with the current dose for 5-7 days, that clock starts over now with the missed shot.
