1/29 Hendrick AMPS 431 +3 233 +4 195 +6 177 +8 243 PMPS 438 +3 350 +5 299

Little hard to say. Could just be not enough duration because dose isnt right yet. Better than black at least!

You're doing everything you can. At some point, his little body has to do the rest. That was still a bit of a dive to +3 so could have been a little better, but that's nitpicking a bit with you guys being so new to this.

pink 350. So the question is, is that a big enough drop to test again in 2 hours, 3 hours...whatever is needed, we're up for it just need to know if it is warranted. Sure is a lot flatter than before we were meal-splitting (118 and 142 at PM +3) but he could still dive to nadir I suppose

I'm thinking we get a PM + 5 tonight, 11:30 PM EST.

This last BG test was the very first time he didn't chirp when I poked him. As if he didnt even feel it. I think his ears are starting to learn because i was able to just barely break the surface and got a good drop quick

Just did a PM +5 and it was 299. Trying to understand if another test is warranted, usually asleep by now but could set an alarm.

My thinking is, 299 is flat enough from +3 350, just a slight drop, no more testing needed tonight but am I right?
Good job today
You are probably ok in terms of safety however as you can see you are quite literally in uncharted territory. As you build up data these types of decisions get easier.

thank you @Sandy and Black Kitty we did indeed hit the sheets and call it a night

and thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Yesterday was an 8-poke day, most we had ever done was 5...which was the day before.

he was a trooper for the most part, only really complained during one session when i was trying to use the inner side of the ear, i have much less luck there but wanted to rotate in/out and R/L. After two unsuccessful pokes that he felt and yelped in pain about, I bagged the inner and went to the outer where i got blood immediately with almost no poke at all like it was just waiting to bleed.

Ah yes much better flat curve!

I know it seems counterintuitive and like you're shooting yourself in the foot, but the flatter curves will stop the bouncing/allow you enough leeway to raise the dose. Little surprised it took that much carbs, hopefully that will change as he comes down. It's a bit amusing, he looks more like a cat on ProZinc at the moment

And you are correct, that flatness between +3 and +5 combined with the high numbers was safe to go to bed.
