Hi!! So Frodos numbers where quite low today. He was 47 3hr after breakfast so I fed him little bit with MC food and checked him in after 2hr - he was 54
So fed him regular food the rest of the day. It’s time for his shot soon so gonna check his sugar in a while. Any suggestions about his dose? thank you!:bighug:

He hasn’t earned a reduction as he’s a long term diabetic so he earns a reduction if his bg falls under 40. I would not have waited two hours after the 47 at +3. I would have fed and tested in 30 minutes. He could have dropped under 40.

I know but I wasn’t home to testAnyways long night ahead as he is 37 now from 113 2hrs ago and food after that. Gonna update his numbers on ss now

Hi Paulina, here is your last post for continuity: https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/1-19-frodo-update.258090/#post-2903835

@tiffmaxee I suggested to Paulina a few days ago that she reduce because Frodo was dropping low every night and she needed high carb to keep him up. Now he’s going low again, but you also changed his food, so that may be why he is going lower. I would stick to this dose and see if he goes below 40 on new food.
Hiya! Speaking about the food I have to calculate the new food again I think it’s higher carbs than my usual. I use CarbCalc and was wondering if that’s any good??

That 37 earns a reduction. I'd suggest you feed a teaspooon or two high carb food and recheck in 30 minutes to make sure he's coming up. It would be worth making notes in your remarks on what % carb you use when his numbers go lower so you can use info for future reference.

Keeping your title updated also helps in case you need help, I almost missed seeing the 37 in your comment #3

Hiya! Thanks that’s what I did and gonna check him just now. And he went low on his reg food which is very low carb.

If he’s 37 she needs to decrease again I think.
