We're doing Taz's first curve today. I'm hoping the vet (who sees him on Tuesday) will say this is good enough and that he doesn't need to do one himself.

I'm doing even hours, but it would be interesting to do another one and use odd hours. Has anyone done that? Is there a reason to?

It’s a waste of money to get a curve done at the vet because if your cat is at all stressed tge bg will be higher there than at home. It’s good to test occasionally at times that you don’t ordinarily test to get a fuller picture. With lantus the onset is often +2-3 so if lower than the preshot it’s worth testing again later. You need to learn when Taz onsets by testing to see. Max onset around +2.5 so fir me a +1-2 didn’t tell me a lot unless he started really low. I learned that with testing.
