Since he has been inhaling his food in the AM, i have had to split it into 2 servings 15-20 min apart. It has been working to keep him from vomit for past few days.
 
The only time you can't feed him is two hours before the shot. It's also better to feed more before the nadir when the insulin action is strongest. Feeding after the nadir can reduce duration.

Food takes 20 minutes to affect numbers, so if you're feeding when he's low, you want to test 20 mins after food to see how the food has bumped up his numbers, if at all.

Fed ~2.5% one quarter can FF pate, acting like he is starving to death like always. He also got one FF break away treat after poke ~6.5%. i normally give him the purbites, but when he is green every once in a while i give him a breakaway (FFBA)
