Panzer hit a 67@+4 PMPS last night & I was going to give him a reduction, but after discussing it with a couple of awesome people who have been helping me get Panzer where he is today, I decided to hold his dose & make my bottom #60 before a dose decrease. I decided to test @+10 AMPS today & got a 138. Interestingly enough when I tested him @ PMPS he was @120. I'm glad I got the +10 so I could see that. We are @+3 PMPS now & he's @90. Such beautiful numbers :woot: Hoping this is the start of those preshots coming down.

Something to consider, sometimes a small snack about 2 hrs before the AM preshot can help bring that BG down. I know it seems counterintuitive, but for whatever reason anecdotally we've found that can help when cats are at these low doses and need a little nudge.

I would hold this dose for a few more days to see if they come down; if not, can't hurt to try a small snack for a few days and see if it does anything.

Ok so good I will give it a try. What do you suggest for a small snack? @FrostD
 
Also can I do a small snack at PMPS instead of AMPS since I do work Monday-thursday & wouldn't be able to monitor him or should I wait & try it on my days off?
 
I don't think it will impact work? You would give the snack 2 hours before AMPS, so PM+10. If it works, that AMPS will come down
