Happy New Year everyone and good afternoon,
Blaze seems to be determined to go below 68 lately. We had a 65 today at +5.
I am trying to figure out a plan because I am returning to work this coming week.
I am going to be working from home tomorrow (Jan 3rd) and Tuesday (Jan 4th) and will be able to monitor (except for a couple of hours tomorrow) but I am going to be back to IN PERSON learning (which means in the school building) starting January 5th. So every day cycle starting on Wednesday January 5th I will not be home to monitor. I leave at around +2 and I am back home after 4 pm (around +10/+11).
Any suggestions as to what I should be doing as far as dosing?
Thank you as always,
Paola

I was hoping you would be working remotely but we have to work with what life throws us. I think I would reduce to 1.5 tonight. That will gave you time to see his reaction while you are home. Then I think I’d use the auto feeder tomorrow and do what you would normally do if working but test more to see what his plan is. It’s good you will have a few days to see his response. What do you think?

I was hoping for that too, my main reason is Blaze but also because I am a little stressed about going back with the cases being up to 18K in Ontario. I have no choice though. I will reduce to 1.5U yes, I think it's a good plan so I can see how he does on it tomorrow and Tuesday. Yes, I will pretend I am not home and do my usual work day routines as far as food but I will test more for sure.

The cabinet is meeting this afternoon. Hopefully they will see sense.

1.5U given!
Fingers crossed he is eating normally. Cerenia is helping. Is it ok to give it everyday for longer than 5 days? Or should I give him a couple of days off after the 5th day? I asked the vet and he said it is safe to go beyond the 5 days but I honestly don't trust him that much...

Old thought was cerenia could only be given for 5 days. We now now it can be given indefinitely. You don’t want to stop giving it prematurely. When he seems to be eating normally for several days taper off giving ever other day and see if you see a difference on the days without. It’s harder to get nausea under control if allowed to fester. These guys are so good at disguising how they feel until feeling rotten.

Just about to go to bed...+6 and he gives me a 67. He just ate again though so I think I should be ok to go to bed, right?
