12-31 Little Man AMPS 210/+2 266/+4 239/PMPS 179/+2 117/+3 95/+4 74/+5 80

Ok so higher at +2. Probably a bounce but on 12/28 he broke 2 hours later.

So question should I test in an hour...wait 2 hours or give him a break?

He is gonna get a little more LC now as it's the last of his preshot meal that I split up...

@Bandit's Mom

I know itll be harder to get response so no worries I am sure I can manage;) it's just encouraging to know someone is there. Happy New Year to all!

Looks like a bounce. You can feed a little LC now and test at +4 or +5.

ETA: On 12/28, the +1.5 was not much of an indicator of the cycle since it was before onset. He didn't get much of a food bump, so maybe that was a small early warning.

Agreed just went back and looked at ss again my eyes weren't awake yet when I looked earlier. It was a +1.5 test and agree not his onset time.

This is a proper bounce most likely. I will get a +5 I think then. He definitely needs a break from me haha.

+4 239 so definitely a proper bounce...I just didnt trust so checked him an hour before I was originally going too.

Leaving him alone till pmps now .

Random question about kitties and shedding.

LM sheds terribly he is a medium hair and has polar bear type fur so lots of it. He is obsessed with his fur. He tries to eat it when I brush him and throw the clumps in trash...or if I pet him and a bunch comes off...its like he doesnt want to lose it. Anyone else?

Sure. I have cats who do this. Try to eat the fur out of the brush! :-) I gotta keep it away from them... don't need any more hairballs. Does he ever try to bite the brush? :-)

I think Eddie and Little Man are sharing the New Year's bounce today!!

The brush thing, though: Eddie's ambivalent. A bit growly and a bit "ooo, this is nice". Depends on the day. :):cat:
Yes I do believe they are bouncing into new year!

LM loves the brush but it is a bit overstimulating so after awhile he want to bite and play

Hope you fed a little 9% or a mix of 4% & 9% at +2. Was the drop to 117 after feeding some 9% at +1 or did you feed that at +2?
Yes drop was after the 9 and 1 together....I actually gave only some 2% I guess I should've given some 9 and 4...its 10 mins to +3 so depending I'll give the 9 and 4 then

OK. In future, you want to give the higher low carbs if there is a drop at +2. Will slow him down and hopefully give you a nice flat cycle. Better to feed higher carbs earlier in the cycle when the insulin action is strongest rather than later in the cycle.
