Yup. It takes 2 hours for the carbs to get out of the system. That's why we ask to test 2 hours after the last higher carbs meal to ensure he doesn't dive after the carbs wear off.
If he is higher at +9, call it a night.

Do I need to actually keep him awake for 2 hours? Or just me?

And tomorrow we go back to 3.75u?

Also am I a terrible cat mum if I give my other cat the HC? My gut says yes, I’ll throw them in the garbage…

Just you, you lucky woman! :p

Yes

Mix it with LC so that it is not that high carb. You can feed it over a couple of days

Just make sure Gus doesn't get into it. He might suddenly decide he likes it after all. Especially when he's not supposed to have it!

Lol. When you said ‘to ensure he stays up’ I took it as like .. make sure he stays awake and not sleeping, I was like.. I’m not sure how to keep him awake for 2 hours but I’ll give it my best shot… lack of sleep is getting to me..

I won’t sleep until his numbers come up :)

Good idea on the HC/LC mix, ty!

Sorry another question - new lime green territory ;)

He’s hungry now.. meowing for food. Going to grab a test in under 15mins but does LC count? Can I feed him LC before +9? I know that still skews the numbers a bit..
