old member w/new diabetic kitty

Hi everyone! I am an old member back with a new diabetic kitty. My previous kitty was PJ who went to the Bridge in 2015.

My baby Rambo (15yo) was newly diagnosed this week. I just got the Libre patch put on him today but thinking about going back to a meter & strips. The Libre is very easy and convenient but not sure I can afford the sensor every 2weeks plus stressing him out w/ a trip to the vet! Can anyone recommend which are the best meters these days?

Hi Paula, sorry you have to be here again! Most of us use the Relion from Walmart. I'm still using the Prime version but they've discontinued that and now I think it's the Premier. Still the cheapest strips at $17.88 for 100.
