12/19 Eddie AMPS 221 +2 160 +3 85 +4 77 +5 119 +7 184 PMPS 383 +2 346

His numbers are looking good on this dose. Lot of blues and not so many pinks and reds! :)

Since he's starting lower, don't wait till +3 to test. Maybe a +2 would be better. And a little snack every hour might help prevent any dives.

Sorry we've a busy day. If you havent already I'd give a little MC. LC probably also ok, it's borderline in my opinion.

Let's see how he does rest of cycle...

I'll stick with LC as we've risen @ +5.

I am now realizing what question is percolating and it's a question larger than today. At 8U, Eddie is now surfing (and bouncing a little) in the blues and greens. Really nice to see and I'm on it when and where it comes to giving LC or MC on the hour with a test.

Come January, if I'm teaching in person (we've heard now that may not happen), I won't be able to be testing and feeding on the hour on days where there's meetings, etc. How am I going to a) keep him safe since I won't exactly be doing TR then and b) how will I know--given the direction we are going in [today he's on his 8th cycle) when to adjust dose either by decrease (which would be great) or increase (although I don't really see us going there anymore post SRT, but who knows?).

I hope this makes sense. I'm trying to plan ahead at least conceptually.

Thank you!

So I would hold this dose again, he seems to like it. And possibly the pred timing has helped. I know 77 is below threshold but just barely.

I think there's no easy way to answer your questions just yet, as we don't know where he will be then. Probably the easiest answer is to raise reduction threshold to something like 90 like we do for SLGS. But who knows if that will work well for Eddie...it may let him stay overall too high, or let the IAA take hold, won't know until you try though!

Probably the best thing to do if you can is adjust shot schedule so you can at least get a +2 or +3. That, combined with a higher reduction point, would allow you to keep him pretty safe. It'll let you know whether to leave out LC, MC, and/or HC.

It's another factor to the dance essentially. Although letting him run a little higher or feeding higher carb food as a safety net may not be what you want, you have to work - or how will you take care of the kitties? And he has to stay safe.

You’ve given me a lot to think about! Thank you! :cat::)
