When you look back, this is the 3rd day in a row he has dropped between 40 and 50. I want to lower him to a drop tonight. Is that ok?
Remind me how to draw only a drop from a pen. I understood you shouldn’t press the air from the syringe into a pen?

@tiffmaxee

Go ahead and try it. Push the plunger all the way in and holding it insert into the vial or pen. Once inserted release the plunger and it will draw up a drop. Good luck!

Do I push the air out of the syringe while it is inserted IN the pen and let go?
OR, push the air out of syringe THEN insert in pen and release for my drop?

Having a hard time getting him to eat. Have isolated him in his crate with more hc. He just seems to want to lick the gravy.

raised slightly at 6.5. Only thing he will eat is some crushed kibble moistened with warm water. And lick a little gravy. He’s very active and mouthy (his norm) drinking water, etc.

Oh Oliver....he's keeping you on your toes today. I think I remember that most of the carbs are in the gravy (?) - if so it's ok that he's taking the gravy. Can't remember how he is with syrup, but you could also try to sneak a little into whatever he will eat.

Good luck with the drop dose!

No not while it is in the pen, they're pressurized/vacuum so definitely don't want to do that. Push the air out before putting it in pen, insert, then release
