We are back from vet. She is thinking a soft tissue injury from a jump. Gave 7 days of gabapentin and if still lping suggested xrays.

He gained a little more weight and she said he is looking really good overall!

Had no issues being in room didnt even have to ask they remembered I prefer to stay with him.

He is high today has been higher now this is second day...higher today than yesterday but he knew routine was different and was stressed when he saw carrier pulled out of closet this morning so kind of expect today to be a higher day.

You forgot the AMPS! I bet he comes down as the pain decreases. Between that, the stress of a vet visit, and a possibility of a bounce it’s not surprising. It sounds like a good vet visit.

Hello. Stall. Don't feed and retest in 20 minutes. Do you have hc, karo or honey, lots of test strips and can you monitor? The only reason to stall is to see if he is on the way up. Otherwise I would just say shoot.

Inhave all of the above and yes I can monitor...we have about 15 mins left in the 20 min stall...he is kinda mad cause I havent fed him yet LOL

I will give him the 1% and nothing higher o have 3 and 4 % but wont even bother cause he is pretty carb sensitive

I can do that...we are 5 mins to normal shot time and I know I can have a slight wiggle of about 15 mins either side

Maybe the pain is under control. He was probably also bouncing from the greens. At some point soon you will shoot green but I don't think you are there tonight. Skip then. Get a +1 to see if he's on the rise. If nervous you can test sooner.

NEVER! I think it also is a bounce clearing cycle. When I think you really should not skip I will push you. Don't feel bad. Pretend it was a fur shot.

Since you skipped and he was flat honestly you should be fine. Night of sleep! If you're that worried get a +2...+1 would probably still show food bump

Little Man did the post-vet plummet! Ruby does this too. All of the stress from the experience and then everything is good at home again and poof! Hope he stays steady for you Rainbow, and I'm glad you had a good visit and that the gaba helps his limp.

Yes when he is frustrated he does that a lot. Like a dog shaking a toy

+4 135. Not a meteoric rise but a rise...so probably his depot. Was kind of hoping pancreas might start kicking in but it's ok inknow it's pretty early on to be hoping for that
