So I checked Ducky's BG level at +10 and it was 114 (right now I'm just checking BG at times that are more comfortable for her, when she's comfortable and lying down since testing sometimes freaks her out) - should I still give her insulin dose tonight or wait? It's still technically in a normal level so I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Sorry nobody got back to you sooner. I see the no shot, what was PMPS?

If youre not comfortable shooting these lower numbers, perhaps something like 0.1U might allow.you more consistency?

Wasn't able to get a BG closer to preshot time - how would I measure .1U? Just sort of the smallest possible amount? Her AMPS was 124 this morning so it seems to be lowering. A little nervous about what to do!

Being new to insulin and the food change I would usually say not to shoot unless over 150 BUT that would require monitoring and you aren’t able to get the necessary tests for that. The food change seems to be working. Try and get an Ambg. If you can’t then feed and dint shoot. Wait 3-4 hours and then do all you can to test. If the pancreas is coming back to life the bg will be lower. Is the Ambg is 200+ you can shoot .10. I’ll attach a picture of it.
