new libre on at +10.5. I fed him pure bites treats as a reward for the stress. He is finally realizing what it is I think and is starting to not like it on him anymore - I might need to invest in a shirt. I also accidentally placed it a little too close to him where he can lick it .. snd so he tries biting at it and the resistance he gets from it scares him and he jolts off for a second. It’s pretty heart breaking to watch him so scared and uncomfortable. I’ll be able to get a +11.5 and on.

Also I’m going to start adding a magnifying glass emoji any time the meter is questioning it. I’ve discovered eith last libres the first day of numbers are full of magnifying glass ones, but then it becomes once every so often

I didn't follow. The Libre shows a maginfying glass emoji? What does that mean?

Just looked at the screenshots from last night on your SS. The emoji is there throughout the lows.

Yes the libre shows the emoji when it isn’t positive of the number and it means to manually test. Most of the time I get a magnifying glass emoji , but a few minutes later and get a number that is solid and close enough to it where I don’t have to question the magnifying glass emoji number

I just posted two screenshots of what I just read about the libre. It says it’s common for the first 12 hours of the libre to get the symbol. It says “ there may be times when you get a low glucose reading but you do not actually have low glucose.” So frustrating. I really need to get Milo on board with home testing to supplement my sensor

I’m going to catch up on sleep tonight since the numbers are all questionable. It says he is from the mid and high 200s so I’m assuming he is there ..
Do you think that’s an okay call to make? I’ll wait around for a +4 if needed!!

If it’s the PMPS Cycle on 12/02 when he went to 100 at +5 then that one was accurate with no glass emoji! I have a record of all scans so I can refer back snd double check numbers!!

But I’m curious still If she found a way around it or she had the handheld … this whole thing is overwhelming on so many levels

also looks like I need to figure something out with him ASAP because he just got his sensor off!!! I’m so mad. It was so secure. I have no idea how he did it? I was logging his +5 a few minutes early and I hear a drop on the floor and there it is.

oh oh. like you said, too close to his head/mouth? you'll need to get a collar or a shirt to prevent him from getting to it.

I put the Libre on Ruby's neck, on either side of the spine would be ok, as long as it can be covered by a Kitty Kollar. The Kitty Kollars are made for animals who have feeding tubes, but they work very well to prevent the cat from scratching at the Libre with the hind legs. Ruby was miserable with it on whenever it was placed anywhere else on the body. I also used a few tiny drops of Vet Bond to make sure it stayed because the adhesive that comes with it is not enough.

That’s why I’m shocked jt came off because I did a good amount of vet bond ( tiny drops but I made sure there enough to cover ). I think after I wiped his spot with the alcohol wipe if night have not dried enough before applying it. That is the only thing I can think of

Just tried two times to get blood with AT. not enough blood the first time snd he scratched my face the second time. I’m a full mess. I feel like I’m failing him and I’m so scared to not have home testing happening .. to top it off I started crying out of frustration. He came over to comfort me but swatted my face. He has never shown any aggression to me before so I’m just at a loss

I would have said it takes time and practice, but I know that with some cats (like my civvie) even that may not help much. Here are some tips - I'm not sure if any of these will work!
