11/27 Milo PMPS 429,+1 354, +2 281, +3 190, +3.5 161,+4 134, +4.5 115, +5 84

Around his second low event we talked about the idea of remission being possible without putting too much stock in it. Does he seem like he is moving more away from that possibility ? His high bounces make me think it’s less likely now

It's only been a month since he's on insulin. Give him time. He has come down from 1.5U to 0.75U in dose. You only have to scroll up his SS to see how far he has come.

Not at all. He will get there. Max didn’t due to chronic pancreatitis but I kept hoping anyway. Milo is healthy and responding well.

I can’t believe it’s only been a month .. it feels like a year haha! I just want it so bad for him
He is doing very well. Many cats can take months to see green and earn reductions.

Unfortunately, feline diabetes is not linear. It's a lot of up and down. But he is headed in the right direction! :-)

So my vet just had their tech call me ( never spoken to vet in person or via phone) about how I changed the dose from .5 to .75. This is not the first time they have said I am micromanaging and that for 50 years cats have been given a dose and just checked on once every two weeks . They said they are new to the libre and to my style of monitoring. Is it okay to send them any of the info from FDMB such as the TR dosing style or anything to back me up?

Absolutely send them the TR information. I’d send the Romp Rand. You will find it here.

So question about dosing … because Milo had a day of greens and blues on this current dose so we hold it for longer until he naturally gets used to those numbers snd has fewer bounce cycles? Or at some point do we increase to get him there faster?

Oh my gosh I wish I had an auto feeder. It sounds luxurious for sleep. I’ll get a a +4 .. he is 15 minutes till +3 and is at 192

Oh no haha. I’m hoping it’ll be an easy one. Does it ever get more predictable with their cycles ? I’m dreaming of a day where he could have a blue number at this point in his cycle snd it doesn’t mean he needs to be watched

Also I’m worried about tonight because it’s very similar to his pm cycle on 11/18. From red to pink , yellow to blue all around the same numbers. But this cycle be hit them one hour before that cycle

He is higher at +3 tonight than he was on 11/18 so there is more of a buffer. He is sliding fast. Let's see the +3.5 and whether he needs higher carbs then.

+3.5 is 161. Could this fast drop have to do with him eating tiki cat before his fast and st PMPS? They were both 0% carbs vs his 3% FF he normally eats

Not too bad. It's better to feed slightly higher carbs when he is dropping so fast. Though there isn't much of a difference between 0 and 3. Let's see the +4.
