Max is on 2nd cycle of dose decrease and last cycle he went down to 25. Possible it was a bad strip or it was real. Who knows. Today he bounced for sure, but a big drop at +2. I'm wondering if I should put some MC in front of him.

I'm pretty thrashed from my own medical conditions and lack of sleep. I'm struggling to post this, but want to make sure I can sleep and not have to worry about him going too low.

Should I just encourage him to eat his LC or put some MC in front of him?

I’d test 30 after you fed hc. If he is in 60’s by then it would be time to try 10-12%.
I think you can remove the 911 . If you need attention again you can add it back.

Thank you.

Agreed. I always mixed my karo syrup 50/50 with water and syringed into Darcy’s mouth. He didn’t seem to mind it at all, but I admit he was a very compliant kitty. I usually gave 1.5 cc of the mixture at a time. Doing it this way, he never got sticky.

Isn’t it time for mother year?
I'm going to read this as isn't it time for another test. :)

Max is at 98 @ +5. I'm hoping this means I can sleep for a while. I'm wondering what I should do about his dose for his PM cycle since he just had a reduction, but again went below 50 today. Do I keep the same dose as today or reduce again?

Back to back reductions usually don’t work and the depot was in play today. That being said any test under 40 calls for a reduction. I think a 25 qualifies. We have to assume it was not an error. So I too would reduce. If the reduction fails you can go back up.

Plus Stephanie is not feeling well and it sounds like it’s not the best time for her…

So Max ended up with a not unexpected bounce from today, but I'm not sure if that means I can skip testing much more for the night. I did shoot a reduced dose tonight, but with how the last few days have gone, I don't know what's going to happen.

Does it look like I need to test more tonight? Max & I would like some uninterrupted sleep if possible, but I can be up to test if necessary.

My understanding is that this applies only to symptomatic hypoglycemic episodes and not low numbers.

Tagging @Bron and Sheba (GA) and @tiffmaxee for confirmation.
Yes that is correct. It is the symptomatic hypos that can cause a cat to be more sensitive to insulin.
@Stephanie & Max I notice Max dropped to 25 at +2 yesterday pm cycle. Dropping under 30 is an automatic reduction in dose at the next cycle. Please make sure you take the reduction if that happens again for safety sake.
