Hi!

So @Bandit's Mom suggested I go up by 0.5u today instead of the .25 because he is mostly flat and running nadirs generally over 300.

Did that and at +2 a tad higher now he has done this before so not super concerned about that. My question is how often should I test today since I increased a larger dose than normal increase?

I've started basing amount of testing on his +2/3 number. Big drop test again +4/5 flat stop more drop test again.etc...

Since he went up a bit wasnt sure what to do this time since I increased this am.

TIA! <3

It looks like he's going to be flat and high. If you're home, you could get another test at +5 or +6 but that's not necessary at these levels.

Technically, it's not a "bounce" from the increase. It's a totally FDMB term, "new dose wonkiness" (or NDW). A bounce occurs in response to lower numbers. In the case of where you've increase the dose, you'd expect to see numbers respond to the increase in insulin. Instead of going down, the numbers go up. Hence the term, NDW.

Ok I can understand that! Thankyou for the explanation...this is enough to wanna just cry some days. I just want to get to what I've seen on here "surfing blues or greens" which I'm sure is also a fmdb term as well haha
